Privacy Policy

Lifthoff (“we”, “us”) is run by The Beautiful Company II, LLC. This policy covers lifthoff.com and the Lifthoff service. For anything privacy-related, contact us at team@lifthoff.com.

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address and password (stored securely, never readable by us), or your basic Google profile (name, email, photo) if you sign in with Google.
• Profile details: your username, display name, photo and bio.
• Business details: your brand name, logo, description, website and social links, plus the products, photos, prices, links and campaigns you publish.
• Promoter details: your name, photo, bio, niches, location, rates and social accounts, plus the pitches and contact details you send when applying to a campaign.
• Messages: messages, attachments and reactions you send to other people on Lifthoff, and any reports you make.
• Settings: for example whether you want email alerts about new messages.

Information created when you use Lifthoff

• Activity: the products you mark “I want this”, follow or save, and the businesses you follow.
• Product analytics: when a product page is viewed or its “Get it” link is clicked, we record the product, the time, a random visitor ID (see Cookies), your account ID if you’re signed in, and a traffic source (such as “tiktok” or “direct”), which we work out from the page that sent you or from a tracking tag in the link. We keep the source category, not the full address you came from.
• Technical information: our hosting providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to run the service securely.

Payment information

If you subscribe to the business plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan status and your renewal date.

• To run Lifthoff: create your account, show your profile and products, deliver messages, and send you the notifications you’ve asked for.
• To show businesses how their products are doing: views, interest, followers, clicks and traffic sources.
• To take payment for the business plan and manage your subscription.
• To keep Lifthoff safe: prevent spam and abuse, enforce our Terms, and review reported messages.
• To fix problems and improve the service.
• To meet legal obligations.

• Public: business profiles, published products and open campaigns, promoter profiles, and usernames and display names.
• Businesses see totals, not names: analytics show businesses how many people viewed, wanted, followed or clicked a product. They don’t show which people did.
• Campaign applications (your pitch, quote and contact details) are seen only by the business you applied to.
• Messages and attachments are seen only by the people in the conversation. We may review them if they are reported to us, or if we must for safety or legal reasons.
• Private to you: your email address, what you’ve saved or marked “I want this”, and your settings.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t show ads. We share data only with service providers that help us run Lifthoff, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Stripe: payments and subscriptions (see Stripe’s privacy policy).
• Resend: sending email alerts.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

When you click a “Get it” link, you leave Lifthoff for the creator’s own site or store. Their privacy policy applies there, not ours.

We use a small number of cookies, and none of them are for advertising:

• Sign-in cookies keep you signed in. They’re essential, so Lifthoff can’t work without them.
• lh_sid is a random ID that lasts one year. We use it to count unique visitors to product pages. It doesn’t identify you and isn’t shared with anyone.

We don’t use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; if you block sign-in cookies, you won’t be able to sign in.

• We keep your account information while your account is open.
• Product analytics are kept while the product exists, and are deleted with it.
• When you edit or unsend a message, the original text is kept so that abuse reports can still be reviewed.
• When your account is deleted, we delete your profile, business, products and the content tied to them. We may keep a limited record where the law requires it or to prevent abuse. Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires.

• Edit your profile, business and products whenever you like.
• Turn off email alerts in Settings.
• Unfollow, unsave or remove “I want this” at any time.
• Cancel your plan from Billing in your dashboard.
• Get a copy of your data or delete your account by emailing team@lifthoff.com from the address on your account. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have more rights: to access, correct, delete or move your data, and to object to or limit how we use it. We honour these requests however you contact us, and we won’t treat you differently for making one. If you’re in the EU or UK, we rely on running the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in keeping Lifthoff working and safe, and legal obligations. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and database access rules so people can only see what they’re allowed to see. Passwords are hashed, and card details are held by Stripe, never by us. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

Lifthoff isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email team@lifthoff.com and we’ll delete it.

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also let you know by email or with a notice on Lifthoff before it takes effect.
